Using the tools
base64hub provides free tools for encoding, decoding and converting data. You can use them for personal and commercial work without an account. The tools run in your browser, so you are responsible for the data you process and for keeping your own copies of anything important.
No warranty
The tools are provided as is. We test them carefully and compare their output with reference implementations, but we cannot guarantee that every result is correct for every input, browser or file. Check critical output before you rely on it, especially for security-related work such as keys, certificates and tokens.
Security-related tools
Tools that generate keys, hashes, tokens or encrypted text use the cryptography built into your browser (the Web Crypto API). They do not replace a security review of your own system. Base64 is an encoding, not encryption: anyone can decode it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law or to harm other people’s systems. Do not try to disrupt the service, for example with automated mass requests.
